1. About MindBridge

MindBridge Nigeria is a technology platform that connects clients seeking mental health support with licensed therapists. We are not a healthcare provider. The therapy services you receive are provided by independent licensed therapists, not by MindBridge Nigeria.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you are 18 or older. Parents or legal guardians may create accounts on behalf of minors with appropriate consent.

3. Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information in your profile and intake questionnaire
• Treat therapists with respect and professionalism
• Attend or cancel sessions with reasonable notice (minimum 24 hours)
• Not share session content or therapist contact details outside the platform
• Understand that MindBridge is not a crisis service — call 199 or go to your nearest hospital in a life-threatening emergency

4. Therapist Responsibilities

• Maintain current, valid professional licensure at all times
• Provide services within your licensed scope of practice
• Maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with professional ethics
• Notify MindBridge immediately of any lapse in licensure or professional conduct issues
• Not solicit clients to communicate or transact outside the MindBridge platform

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed by Paystack. Sessions are paid for in advance. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a session are eligible for a full refund or credit. Cancellations within 24 hours are at the therapist's discretion. MindBridge retains a platform fee of 20% of all session fees.

6. Confidentiality and Limits

Sessions are confidential. However, therapists are required by Nigerian law and professional ethics to break confidentiality if: (a) you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or others; (b) a child or vulnerable person is at risk of abuse; (c) required by a court order.

7. Limitation of Liability

MindBridge Nigeria provides a platform and is not liable for the professional conduct of therapists or the outcomes of therapy. Our maximum liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for services in the previous 3 months.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.
